About Us

Our Purpose:
To provide a place where community events and social gatherings can comfortably occur.
To promote the arts and culture in George, Washington.
To carry on the traditions begun by our city founders, Charles and Edith Brown.

The George Community Hall is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, and it exists for the benefit and enjoyment of George, WA residents as well as the Quincy Valley at large. It is overseen by a non-salaried Board of Directors, who also function as volunteer event directors on behalf of the City of George for the grand July 4 Celebration, President's George Washington's Birthday in February, and the Annual Bluegrass Festival every September. The Community Hall's handicap-accessible facility is nearly 4,000 square feet in size, and features a beautifully-equipped catering kitchen and furnished dining hall on the lower level. The main floor includes a concert hall and restrooms. The facility is available for private and company rentals. Directly adjacent to the facility is the lovely George Community Park which features a covered picnic pavilion, outdoor grills, a fire-pit, large outdoor stage with bleacher seating, and children's playground.
